An early March trip to Sharm saw 13 members of the club escaping the cold of the UK to the heat of Egypt, with 4 days diving booked in the warm red sea. We returned to the Sonesta hotel which we have used before, which is great for the non diving members. Day one of diving took us to Ras Katy for a check dive, at lunch Sam the new recruit to the team went in for her first sea dive, and you could tell fro the grin on her face she is now hooked to diving.Three days diving followed
at sites Ras Um Sid,Gorden reef, Ras Nasirai,Shark & Yolander,Ras Giazlani, Temple and tower. The First days diving was with a strong wind but as the day went on the winds dropped and the strong sun shone though. Because of the drop in tourists the reefs are getting a chance recover.The marine life looks in good health and in abundance. I have to thank all the club for there great company and as we say we are not just a club but a group of great friends that dive, also a big thanks to Saad our dive guide from Empreror divers for his help all week.
